Delhi Building Workers Healthcare Scheme: Cashless Health Coverage Upto ₹2 lakh

To provide the best and affordable medical/healthcare facilities to the workers of Delhi State, the Lieutenant Governor of the state approved the new scheme. This scheme was introduced to the public with its official name, i.e. Delhi Building Workers Healthcare Scheme, for all the Registered and Construction workers. Now, after getting approval of this scheme, the government disbursed the benefits of Cashless healthcare facilities to the eligible beneficiaries along with their dependent family members.

Delhi Building Workers Healthcare Scheme

A total of 2,70,000 construction workers are going to cover in this scheme along with the dependent members of their families. All the registered building and construction workers will get cashless treatment. Each of the members will be eligible to get medical treatment for upto Rs.2 Lakhs, which means the overall family medical treatment limit is upto Rs.10 lakhs per year.

Objective of Delhi Building Workers Healthcare Scheme

To make medical facilities affordable and accessible to construction workers, this scheme is announced by the government. They also get financial protection to get high-quality medical services for themselves and for their family members. If their health is good, they will be able to earn well and avoid becoming poor.

What is Eligibility for Worker & Dependent?

To avail these healthcare facilities from the government in this scheme, it is important to qualify the eligibility conditions.

For Worker

  • The age of the construction workers must be a minimum of 16 years to a maximum of 59 years.
  • They must also be registered as construction workers with the department.
  • Must be active as workers for at least 90 days this year.

Delhi Building Workers Healthcare Scheme for Construction Workers Registration Steps

  • All workers who are already registered with the department and have a labour card can register for this scheme. There is no need to apply separately for this scheme.
  • If you registered with the department through their official portal, i.e. DBOCWWB, then you will be eligible to get the benefits of this scheme.
  • Any of the candidates who not registered, then have to register by filling out the Fresh Registration Portal.
  • Open the official Delhi Building and Other Construction Worker Welfare Board portal.
  • Click on New Registration, enter the 12-digit Aadhaar Card Number and generate an OTP.
  • After getting the OTP, complete the verification, and the new application form opens here.
  • Enter your basic personal details, Address details, along with Bank account details.
  • Start adding your employment history, and now add the family members’ details with their Aadhaar card number.
  • Now start uploading your documents and family members’ documents.
  • Preview your application and then submit it.
