President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu introduced the Delhi Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana for girls in the presence of the Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta. There is a very big event conducted at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, and then she introduced this scheme. Under this scheme, the government provides financial support to every eligible girl child of the state.
This scheme is introduced specially for the girls in witch government gives 1 Lakh Rupees at maturity. When a newborn baby girl is born, then their pareants can register their girl under the Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana. After the registration, Govenrment will give financial support from time to time into girls’ accounts. When the girl is mature, then this amount will be given to the girl.
So now, after the implementation of this scheme, no family of the girl child will don’t have to take the burden and tension about her bright future, for her study and for marriage. This scheme is going to be officially implemented in the state from April 1st, 2026. This is one of the historic schemes of the state. From birth to get her education in college, the government credited the amount in her account, and then, after completing her higher education, a total Rs.1 lakh will also be given to the girl.

Amount Benefits Given under Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana
It is already informed to you all that under this scheme, every girl who is born in the state of Delhi will get the financial assistance from her birth into her bank account. At the time of the birth of a girl, she received Rs. 11,000, and then after getting admission in 1st Class, 6th Class, 9th class and 12th class she will receive Rs 5,000 for every milestone.
The new amount benefits which is add in this scheme is that for her Graduation or Diploma she will be Separate Amount of Rs. 20,000/-. After all, on her maturity, she will receive a total of Rs. 1 lakh for her Marriage. So now no more thinking about the future of your girl, because now the Delhi government is in support of you.

When Girls Received Total 1 lakh rupees under Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana
- Once the girl completes her higher education or turns 18 or 21 years, then she will receive the payment of Rupees 1 Lakhs. But you also have to follow some other rules of the scheme.
- If a girl gets married before she turns 18 years old, then you will get this amount.
- Girl also getting an education from government or government aided school.
- Your girl must have completed her 12th class or diploma, or ITI and be 18 years old, then she will be eligible to receive the amount.
- All the girls who also complete their graduation and turn 21 years old will also receive this amount.
Scheme Eligibility Criteria
Now it is important to know about the scheme that families or girls of the state will receive the benefits of this scheme.
- The benefits of Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana are only given to the families who are permanently residing in the state of Delhi or residing in the state from last 3 years.
- All families whose annual income is less than Rs.1,20,000/-. It means if your income is less than or having Rs.10,000 per month, then you will be eligible to get financial assistance for your daughter.
- You must complete all vaccinations after birth according to government rules.
- From every family maximum of two girls are going to get benefits.
- All the girls who are residing or getting taken care of in government or other institutions will have relaxation over the eligibility criteria.
