The Delhi government is all set to launch its new scheme, “DURGA,” for women and transgender people. Under this scheme, the Delhi government will issue 1300 e-Auto permits. These are only for Womens and Transgender drivers. In this scheme, 90% permits will be reserved for women, and drivers also get the benefit of EV Incentives and Tax benefits.

Now the Delhi government is working for women to provide them with new job opportunities. While working in this field recently, they started a new initiative to generate new job opportunities. In this scheme, women and transgender people get an opportunity to get a driving license and run an e-auto rickshaw under the DURGA Scheme. This will help them to generate income and help their families. These e-Autots are freely run all over Delhi, and women drivers generate money from them. Under this scheme, 1300 new electric auto permits will be issued.
Government seprate these permits between women and transgender people. 90% permits will be issued only for women, and the 10% will be issued to transgender people. According to news, 100 e-Auto permits will be issued in each district. Selected applicants will receive a letter of intent to operate an e-Rickshaw. The scheme draft is prepared, and it will be presented in front of the Delhi cabinet. After getting approval from the cabinet, the next process will start. All the application forms are invited online through the official portal, and the final selection of the applications will be through a lottery system. Delhi government is also planning to tie up with the local cab and auto drivers.

Eligibility Criteria

- This scheme is only for women and Trsngenders.
- Applicants should have a driving licence to Run a Electrict rickshaw.
- Applicants’ age should be between 20 to 40 years Old.
- The annual income for the applicants is less than Rs 5 lakh per annum.
- Applicants should not own a three-wheeler vehicle.
- This is a government scheme, so only one vehicle per family is allowed.
- Only married women with Childern age is under 18 years are eligible to apply.

How to avail the benefit of Delhi DURGA Scheme?
- The notification has just been updated on the official website about the Durga Scheme. This is a proposed scheme in the Delhi BJP Manifesto, and now its draft is also prepared. When this will get a pproval form Cabinet, the implementation process will start.
- The application for the DURGA Scheme is online. Applicants have to apply for this scheme online only through the official portal.
- Women and transgender persons who meet the eligibility criteria need to fill the form. After that, your form will go to the screening process.
- When your form is accepted, the final list of beneficiaries will be decided through a lottery system.
- This is because a fixed number of permits will be distributed in each district of Delhi. Only 100 permits are distributed in each district.
- If your name is in the list, then you can receive your e-auto permit from the transport office.
