Lakhpati Bitiya Scheme Eligibility Criteria
In this scheme, the financial assistance has been increased, but the eligibility rules have changed, which means there are many new changes has been made by the government to make the payment of the scheme. Now it is compulsory for the families of the girls to follow the same. Previous this scheme only provided financial assistance at the age of 18 years, but if a girl will get the higher education and marries at the age of 21 years, then Rs 1 lakh will also be given to the girl. It will also help to encourage the parents of the girl to pursue her higher education.
As we all know, there are so many girl who leave their education in the middle of their education, because their parent have no money for it. But this scheme now gives the benefits in shape of an amount to support them for their higher studies.

Lakhpati Bitiya Eligibility Criteria
In this section, I am going to provide the complete eligibility criteria conditions after which every girl become the beneficiaries of the scheme and gets the financial Assistance benefits.
- Residents of Delhi: All girls/daughters who were born in Delhi.
- Domicile Families: Any family who living in Delhi for the last three years, their daughters are also eligible for the scheme.
- Financial Status of Family: Annual Income for the Family must be Rs. 10,000 per month, which means the annual income is Rs. 1,20,000 or less than it.
- Maximum Benefits Given: From every family, only two maximum girls are going to avail financial benefits.
- Other: The vaccinations of the girl can be completed according to the rules and regulations of the government.
- Education Compulsory: Girls can study in any of the Delhi Government-aided or any affiliated school in the state.
- Higher Education Out of Delhi: No Matter if a girl can continue their higher study from any of the other states, she will definitely obtain the financial benefits.
Documents List To Prove Your Eligibility
All the applicants need to complete and keep the documents that should prove their eligibility for the scheme.
- Birth Proof: You need to submit the birth certificate of the girl, which is issued by the MCD/NDMC.
- Delhi Address Proof: You can submit your Ration Card, Any Bill or Voter ID Card.
- ID Proof: You need to submit the ID proof, i.e. Aadhar Card of the girl and the parent.
- Income Proof: The income certificate showing the income from all sources of the whole family member and which is issued by the SDM.
- Saving Bank Details: To get the payment, kindly submit the bank account details of the guardian/parent of the girl.
Lakhpati Bitiya New Rules & Regulations
There are new major changes has been made by the government, and now this scheme comes into effect from 1st April 2026 in Delhi.
- Amount Distribution: In this scheme, the major change has been made in the distribution of the amount of the scheme.
- Total Amount: The total amount of Rs. 56,000 will be saved or deposited in the name of the girl as per the new government rules.
- Instalment: The amount of the scheme is given in different phases, which are associated with the important stages of the education of the girl.
- Total Amount: A total amount of Rs. 1 Lakhs with all interested will be given to the girl for her higher studies.
- Amount Increase: Previously, in the Ladli Scheme of Delhi, the amount was only Rs. 36,000, which was deposited in the name of the girl, which is increase with 55%.
Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana New Instalment Phase Wise
In the above, we already made it clear that the scheme is going to provide the instalment of the amount according to the important phase of the girls’ education. So below is the list.
- Birth Time: At birth time, she gets Rs 11,000 deposited in her name.
- On Admission: When a girl gets admission in 1st class, 9th class, 6th class and 12th Class she will receive Rs 5,000 for each. It means a total Rs.20,000 will be given for education.
- Higher Education: When she completed her graduation, she received Rs. 20,000/-.

In this scheme total Rs.56,000 will be given/ deposited in the name of the girl by the government, which increases with interest of Rs. 1 lakh.
